The cottage is spotless, but because we like our guests to relax and feel at home, it has a ‘lived in’ feel. When you’re on holiday, the last thing we want is for you to be on edge in case a child spills a drink or your dog rushes through the house with wet feet and for this reason, if you are looking for prestige, 5 star luxury accommodation, then this is probably not the place for you!

Outside the Holiday Cottage

Private sunny garden, fully fenced so safe for dogs and children. Summerhouse for relaxing on those chillier but sunny days and table and chairs for dining al fresco. Parking is 50 yards down the lane, in the property's wild garden/spinney area with a tiny babbling brook.

In the Area

There is a local pub offering real ales and home-cooked food in the nearby village of Bridgetown (approximately 1 mile) which is also home to one of the country’s most picturesque cricket grounds, accessible by footbridge over the River Exe, with a thatched pavillion so unique that it gains mention in the Book of Pavillions by Jonathan Rice. The nearest shop, post office and garage are approximately 2 miles away.
