4 Railway Cottage
No 4, Railway Cottage is situated in West Dean, which is a small, picturesque village straddling the Hampshire/Wiltshire border.
The village lies within a conservation area and the River Dunn runs through the centre of the village with a very attractive village green on either side.
There is a railway station in the village, which is perfect for those who may want to travel further afield without having to drive, or if you fancy nipping into one of the local villages/towns to eat without having to worry about drinking and driving, then this is the perfect solution!
The semi-detached cottage is located at the end of a pretty, no-through lane, tucked away from the main village centre, and provides a peaceful haven with footpaths accessed direct from the door.

The cottage is spotless, but because we like our guests to relax and feel at home, it has a ‘lived in’ feel. When you’re on holiday, the last thing we want is for you to be on edge in case a child spills a drink or your dog rushes through the house with wet feet and for this reason, if you are looking for prestige, 5 star luxury accommodation, then this is probably not the place for you!

In the Area
There are many places of interest around the local area, some of the most popular being Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Hilliers Gardens & Arboretum, Paultons Theme Park and Longleat Safari Park and there are many pretty villages in the surrounding area, which are all worth a visit.
There are local pubs in the neighbouring villages (within a short drive or via a pleasant walk over fields) offering real ales and home-cooked food and the nearest shop is approximately 4 miles away which caters for all your everyday needs, including freshly baked breads and pastries.
